Here is what I was trying to send to you:
This hit me hard in the gut. It’s not what I need. After the Lakers loss last year to the Celtics, I have been in a weird funk. I have not enjoyed this season even though they posted the best record for most of the season. I should have been happy when they beat the Jazz in a close series last week. I was not.
Their lack of play in the Houston series kind of brings me back to last year. The only thing that made me feel good was the way the Dodgers have been playing. I have been watching every home game on Fox Sports Net. I have been reading Wikipedia reading about great Dodgers in the past like Sandy Koufax and so on and really getting jazzed up.
I was really enjoying the games and feeling like a kid again. And if the Dodgers would have lost last night, so be it. It’s a long season.
Then this happened.
Not only did they blow a six run lead, but watching the game was not fun anymore. I just couldn’t get into it and it reminded me of last year with the Lakers.
Someone took my childhood away.
Manny is excited about coming back. But, will General Manager Forkush let him back? Lately, Mr. Forkush has done some smart moves and his team has the best record in baseball. But we'll see when the time comes if he will change his mind and let Manny return.
